Are you ready or a fun night to support a great cause?

GHC’s HIV/AIDS Resource Program (HARP) has teamed up with The Sault Ste. Marie Museum to bring you The Positively RED Ball!

The Positively RED Ball is a 19+ event that has been organized to help raise funds to construct an HIV/AIDS Memorial Wall. This monument is to recognize those individuals that have passed or are living with or affected by HIV/AIDS here in Sault Ste. Marie.

Make your way to The Grand Gardens at 1324 Great Northern Road on Oct. 13, 2023, at 7:30 p.m., for a night of HIV/AIDS education, food, entertainment and more.

Those attending are encouraged to be their most fabulous selves! Come dressed in your best RED attire. We want to see those long wigs, glittery red nails, done-up lashes, dresses, feather boas, heels, suits and ties. Don’t forget your red lipstick!

“Dare to walk the red carpet and make your entrance.”

Bette U. Wanna
…of Batchewana has just started their creative journey into the world of drag. Her heart is almost as big as her breastplate. Bette U. Wanna has been jiggling into her spanx and the hearts of audience members with each show she sneaks into. Growing up on Rankin Reserve, Bette U. Wanna is a proud, Anishnab-gay who’s background includes theatre, visual art and bingo. That explains the cussing. She has only performed drag a few times; and it shows.
Picture
Iona Bigone
…she rarely comes out of the closet except for spe
cial events that her cold tiny little heart is passionate about. Be careful with this one as she has no filters and is in complete denial of her actual fame and fortune, which in fact, totals ZERO!  ….gold digger extraordinaire, but here to entertain and delight!

Picture
Caio
…is straight from the streets of Rio de Janeiro.
Opps….rather queer from the streets of Rio.  They bring a wealth of passion, knowledge and voice to our local HIV and BIPOC community.  Caio is always willing to teach you the Samba and hopes to aspire to be the next “Girl from Ipanema !”   Muito Obrigado

William Hollingshead
... He/Him has been the Executive Director and Chief Curator of the Sault Ste. Marie Museum for the past 4 years. He aims to make the Museum THE Community Hub of Sault Ste. Marie and has happily undertaken many initiatives to make the Sault Ste. Marie Museum a diverse, safe, and inclusive space.

Gemini Gore
…started drag 5 years ago and within a few months she won The Drag Me to Hell Competition.  “Drag is what I have always wanted to do; I remember being a kid watching drag race, and lip-syncing songs in my room".   Since starting drag she has worked with many amazing drag artists and met a lot of wonderful people!
Picture
Lana Von Archer
…
is THEE Canadian drag diva. She has always pulled inspiration from bold, confident, and powerful women that exude pure excellence. She is the beautifully seductive blonde bombshell that oozes everything you want, and something you didn’t know you needed.

…is a founding member of the Michigan Soo Pride Committee.   She is an Auntie to many and mother to none.  She is a local 2-spirit and 2SLGBTQIA+ leader in Sault Michigan.  They have been performing drag for approximately 7 years.  It’s Just Crystal = sassy and brash!
Picture
Luke McAnally-Gore
